FOOD FOR THE FAMOUS
A CELEBRITY CHEF IN AFRICA
This is the colourful story of Eamon Mullan, a renowned English chef who arrived at the famous Norfolk Hotel in Kenya and never quite left. The hilarious biography told in Eamon’s idiosyncratic English manner weaves his journey across the many countries and kitchens in which he fought, taught, cooked and lived. Across the way he met several celebrities of the day from Brazilian soccer player Pele, Sarah Ferguson – the Duchess of Kent, to the late actors Peter Ustinov, Richard Burton and present day actresses such as Angelina Jolie. Despite rubbing shoulders with so many high and mighty individuals he remained rooted to the ground. The book also presents several recipes of the favourite meals he cooked for some of the celebrities, including the Mullan Lamb Chops prepared for former Kenyan President Daniel Arap Moi.
